Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in her mother's dance studio. Annette O'Toole made her TV debut at the age of two when she was a child appearing on the Don Mahoney, Kiddie Trooper Show. With her mom and father, who already had 10 years worth of singing and dancing lessons under her belt, went into Los Angeles a full year at the age of 13 to determine if she would be successful in showbiz. The first show she worked on as a professional dancing instructor in only two months on Danny Kaye's The Danny Kaye Show. The actress says "I learned from my lessons for dancing and singing in many different ways." The discipline you get from it is a huge benefit for an actor." O'Toole's debut role on screen in My Three Sons was followed by performances in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared in Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole has starred in over 40 television series. In spite of her success both in television and film she is a theater enthusiast. After a six-year run on Smallville she decided to concentrate on theatre which she'd been doing for the past decade. She moved to New York and her first audition was the reason she was part of The Sea Gull. Her appearances have been in various Off-Broadway productions. Among them are Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
